About Elya Finn


Elya Finn

Elya Finn, singer songwriter, was born in a small village in Siberia, raised in Moscow, is living now in Bay Area,CA.

She received her classical training in piano and earned her Master's in World Literature and Linguistics in Russia.

For the last 15 years she has been writing songs with various collaborators including acclaimed poet-songwriter Michael Rothenberg and well-known Russian poet Rimma Goldman.

She was written more then 100 songs and composed a variety of piano pieces. Elya has been credited for creating music for puppet shows.

Elya has an eclectic approach to her own songwriting, including elements of folk, pop cabaret, rock and more.

Her singing experience reflects influences from traditional Russian folk and American-Euro pop music.

Elya released 5 albums with original songs.

She continues to teach classical piano, jazz, vocals, songwriting and composition in Bay Area.

Elya Finn is currently working on musical "Space of Love", inspired by "The Ringing Cedars Series" by Vladimir Megre.
